Free Jazz. (Yeah. I Went There.)

Get your lawn blankets and picnic baskets ready, the free Jazz in the Park concert series kicks off in May at Clark County Ampitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Shows start at 7 p.m. Saturdays, and it's your chance to catch performances by world-class artists. May 10: Las Vegas Academy Jazz Combo featuring vocalist Marlena Shaw. May 17: Kind of Blue drummer Jimmy Cobb and his Trio. May 24: The Sax Pack (Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole & Marcus Anderson). May 31: Trumpet virtuoso Randy Brecker. June 7: Keyboard maestro David Benoit.
