From December 8th through 11th, the Palms will be hosting an exhibition of Property from the Life and Career of Burt Reynolds, with the lot being auctioned off on the 11th and 12th. If you're like most of us, your only chance to win an Emmy or a Golden Globe is at auction, so check it out.

Behind The Screen
It's like having a live expert give you your own commentary track! Wednesday, Inspire kicks off seven weeks of Vegas-themed movies with local experts chiming in, with a showing of Casino featuring special guests Oscar Goodman...Hey, he's in it! As himself!...and author David Schwartz, director of UNLV's Center of Gaming Research. Admission is free with purchase of one $7 cocktail; the evening starts with cocktails and Q&A with Oscar at 7 p.m., followed by Film at 8. Future screenings include The Las Vegas Story and that ultimate Vegas classic, Showgirls.

Another music festival is coming to Vegas: Live Nation and MGM Resorts are partnering for the three-day Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival, October 3-5 next to Mandalay Bay. Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean head a line-up that also features the likes of Dierks Bentley and Dwight Yoakam. More than 200 writers and artists will be on hand, everyone from Wolverine creators Len Wein and Herb Trimpe to My Little Pony artist Tony Fleecs. Summer Song
The Fremont Street Experience has unveiled the acts who will be playing its free summer concert series on the heels of Three Doors Down's visit on June 14th, and they're some doozies. July 18, the Summerland Tour stop features Everclear, Soul Asylum, Eve 6 and Spacehog. Holey moley, time to dust off my copy of Whatever: The 90's Box Set. On August 15, rock legends Deep Purple will usher out the season.
